The
message below is a reply written on March 29, 2001 to a question posted
in a board that I used to visit. A medium had been listening to
aggressive discussions while trying to connect to high-order spirits
and he had asked for advice as how to deal with the situation. Here’s
what I said:

It
is certainly a wise attitude of ours to protect ourselves against
negative influences. Nevertheless, we must have in mind that if our
subtle ears happen to hear and make us listen to an aggressive
discussion, it is a good opportunity for us to help someone in need.
Ignorant
spirits may really drain energy from us, though they may do so due to
the fact that they need such extra energy to feel better. Spirits are
all our bothers and sisters, no matter what their evolution is. A
spirit that we plainly “tell to leave” may be a previous-life beloved
friend or a close relative of ours dwelling in a sad situation and
begging desperately for help. Telling it to leave will have an opposing
effect to our intention; instead of leaving the channel free for us to
contact high order beings, our lack of compassion will make the channel
collapse.
Whenever
we feel that low-level entities are contacting us when we are keeping
our vibration high, we must never simply dismiss them as inconvenient,
but rather pray for them. We must increase our vibration even more,
filling it with love, and pray so that those spirits may be helped. Two
immediate consequences such a prayer will have. First, good spirits
will come and help the suffering spirits to leave their auto-created
negative environment. Second, the suffering spirits will feel the
relief that our loving vibration will cause to them.
Oh,
there is a third one too. There is no more powerful shield against
negative energy than love.
